The national integration process launched on July 1 is continuing under the DOA system operated by the Turkish Environment Agency, affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
The number of people registered on the DOA mobile app has reached 3 million. All users registered with the system actively use the app.
Participation is higher in three provinces
Antalya, Izmir and Istanbul are among the provinces where interest in the DOA system is strongest. In these provinces, both the use of return points and participation in the system are higher than in other provinces.
Incentives are transferred to DOA Wallet
Citizens earn a 1-lira incentive for each eligible package they return through the system. This amount is transferred to DOA Wallet.
Balances in DOA Wallet can be used for purchases, transferred to bank accounts, withdrawn from ATMs and used to pay bills.
New campaigns and participation models are being planned
Alongside financial incentives, various campaigns and initiatives are being introduced to increase citizens' participation in the system. Projects such as the “100,000 Packaging Challenge” aim to encourage more active participation in the system and promote recycling habits.
In the coming period, the aim is to expand the areas where DOA Wallet can be used, introduce different incentives and make the system more attractive through new participation models. This is intended to make returning packaging an easy, accessible and lasting practice in daily life.
