Thomas Reis will face former club Samsunspor in Samsun after 245 days
Trabzonspor head coach Thomas Reis will face his former team Samsunspor away in Samsun 245 days after the match on February 7, 2026. Trabzonspor have not won any of their three away matches this season and will claim their first consecutive league victories of the season if they beat Samsunspor.
Trabzonspor head coach Thomas Reis will return to Samsun 245 days after leading Samsunspor against Trabzonspor there on February 7, 2026, this time as the coach of the burgundy-and-blue side.
In the match played in Samsun during the 21st week of the 2025-2026 season, Samsunspor, coached by Reis, lost 3-0 to Trabzonspor. Reis parted ways with Samsunspor after the team lost 3-1 away to Antalyaspor in the 22nd week.
Reis faces former team in first away match
Reis took charge of Trabzonspor before the Galatasaray match in the sixth week of the league. His first away match with his new team will be against his former club Samsunspor. Reis's final home match during his time at Samsunspor was also the fixture against Trabzonspor.
Trabzonspor seek first away win
Trabzonspor have recorded one draw and two defeats in their three away league matches this season. Reis will seek to end the burgundy-and-blue side's away winless run by defeating his former team in his first away match.
Trabzonspor went into the international break after beating Galatasaray 4-0 in Reis's first match in charge. If the burgundy-and-blue side also defeat Samsunspor, they will have won two consecutive league matches for the first time this season.
