Developed by DEM Müzecilik and presenting ancient civilizations through a multi-sensory experience, the "Timewalk Exhibition" has opened in London, the capital of England. The exhibition, which has begun welcoming visitors at Excel London, reinterprets human history with advanced audiovisual technologies.
The journey that begins with Göbeklitepe extends to Babylon, Ancient Egypt, the Maya civilization, and Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Visitors explore each stop with animated visuals, sound designs, and effects.
A Multi-Sensory History Experience
The exhibition goes beyond the traditional museum concept. Cities awakening at dawn, temples glowing at night, monuments rising to the sky, and slices of daily life are presented to visitors interactively.
The exhibition, made accessible to international visitors with audio guides in 25 languages and special narration options for children, was prepared by a team of 250 people over more than two years.
A Cultural Bridge from Türkiye to the World
DEM Müzecilik Chairman of the Board Mehmet Uğur Esin said in his speech at the opening that they engage in historical storytelling with advanced technologies while maintaining respect for classical museology.
Esin noted that they have previously undertaken projects such as 18 museums and cultural complexes in different parts of the world, as well as the Ephesus and Hagia Sophia Experience Museums. "Timewalk Exhibition is the first pillar of the cultural bridge we are extending from Türkiye to the world. We are reinterpreting the common heritage of humanity with contemporary technologies, building a lasting connection between the past and the future," he said.
Emphasizing that the project's greatest goal is to preserve thousands of years of cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations, Esin added that they want to keep the universal memory of history alive.
