The 9th China-Eurasia Expo, held in Urumqi, the capital of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, hosted export products from Turkish companies. Opened under the slogan "New Opportunities of the Silk Road, New Energy of Eurasia," the expo featured representatives from various sectors in Turkey's national pavilion, coordinated by the Ministry of Trade.
Alongside sectoral associations, especially the Aegean Exporters' Associations, prominent Turkish brands such as Ülker, Karafırın, Mehmet Türkel, and Belizza also set up stands. Companies had the opportunity to introduce their products to potential buyers from China and other Asian countries.
Turkey's Ambassador to Beijing, Selçuk Ünal, together with trade attaché officials, visited the stands of Turkish companies. The ambassador received information about the companies' activities and conveyed his best wishes for success. During his visit to Urumqi, Ünal also held meetings with representatives of local authorities.
The opening ceremony of the expo was held on June 25 at the Xinjiang International Exhibition and Convention Center. Senior officials including Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Serik Jumangarin, Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Erlist Akunbekov, and Pakistan's Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Seyed Ghulam Mustafa Shah attended and delivered speeches.
In his speech at the opening, Chinese State Council Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang called for deepening cooperation between China and Eurasian countries within the framework of development strategies, expanding high-level opening-up, and jointly building a more open and mutually beneficial regional trade and economic environment.
Held from June 25 to 29, the expo was attended by more than 2,000 businesspeople from 27 countries and regions. The event was considered an important platform for Turkish exporters to access the Asian market and establish new business connections.
