Bodrum, the popular tourism district of Mugla, welcomed a luxury cruise ship this morning. The 168-meter-long Scenic Eclipse 2, flying the Bahamian flag, set sail from the Greek island of Santorini and docked at the Bodrum Ship Berthing Pier. The ship carries 218 passengers, mostly US citizens, and 187 crew members. After customs clearance, the passengers disembarked with their guides to explore the city.
Tourists visited historical sites such as Bodrum Castle, the Ancient Theatre, and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, shopped at local stores, and tasted regional delicacies. The ship is set to depart for the Greek island of Mykonos in the evening. The increase in the number of luxury cruise ships arriving in Bodrum this season has pleased tourism operators.
