Turkish defense industry company HAVELSAN has exported its national combat management system ADVENT to a NATO country for the first time. The system was delivered to the Romanian Naval Forces together with the CAm. ROMAN corvette sold to Romania.
ADVENT, developed by HAVELSAN, had previously been exported to countries across different continents such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Ukraine, Qatar, Oman, Nigeria, Malaysia and Chile. This delivery to Romania marks the system's first entry into the NATO market.

The ADVENT version sent to Romania is based on the same platform as the system used in the Turkish navy, but has been adapted to the specific needs of the Romanian Naval Forces. Thanks to its modular architecture, HAVELSAN can flexibly adapt the system to different customer requirements.
ADVENT, developed in close cooperation with the Turkish Naval Forces Command, was designed with approaches aiming to integrate multiple platforms into a common operational picture, rather than just a single ship. The system covers all operational processes including threat assessment, decision support, target detection, weapon and sensor management, and provides high situational awareness to the command level.

ADVENT can operate compatibly with allied systems using different communication protocols and can be integrated into a wide variety of platforms, from small boats to large warships, and from land control points to unmanned vehicles. The system can be used in surface, underwater and air environments. For unmanned marine vehicles, there is a special mission management version called ADVENT ROTA.
ADVENT, developed by Turkish engineers with an infrastructure consisting of millions of lines of code, first entered service in 2019 on the TCG Kınalıada corvette. It was subsequently integrated into platforms such as TCG Ufuk, TCG Anadolu and CAm. ROMAN; the number of platforms using the system is steadily increasing.

In recent years, HAVELSAN has been strengthening ADVENT with artificial intelligence elements and developing the ADVENT AI version. The company is preparing proposals for new foreign customers for different modifications. The export to Romania is expected to pave the way for cooperation with other NATO countries.
Along with the corvette delivered to Romania, HAVELSAN also opened the export path for other systems developed entirely with domestic resources. These include the YELKOVAN electronic warfare system, jointly developed with TÜBİTAK and used for the first time in the Turkish navy, and the 12.7 mm TARGAN automatic stabilized weapon system produced in cooperation with UNIROBOTICS.
The ADVENT system is expected to attract great interest at the defense industry summit that Türkiye will host in Ankara on July 7-8. Special importance will be given to this system at the events where the capabilities of the Turkish defense industry will be showcased.
