The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has taken a new decision on the export of bread wheat and wheat screenings. In an announcement published on its website, the institution said exports of these products, which had been suspended since March 2025, were authorized to resume as of 29 July.
The announcement said supply security was at a sufficient level, taking into account domestic production, existing stocks and domestic consumption needs. It added that export operations would be conducted in a controlled and balanced manner, with applications submitted through the General Secretariat of the Central Anatolia Exporters' Association (OAİB) and assessed by TMO.
The TMO statement said: "Taking into account domestic production, existing stocks and domestic consumption needs, it has been decided to reauthorize, as of 29 July, exports of bread wheat and wheat screenings, which had been suspended since March 2025, because supply security is at a sufficient level. Export operations will be conducted in a controlled and balanced manner, with applications submitted through the General Secretariat of the Central Anatolia Exporters' Association (OAİB) assessed by our institution in consideration of domestic supply conditions. The Turkish Grain Board will continue to firmly pursue policies that protect the interests of producers and consumers, support market stability and prioritize food supply security in the period ahead."
TMO continues its work to ensure market stability, protect the interests of producers and consumers, and contribute to the establishment of a reliable market structure.
