Türkiye’s hosting and presidency of COP31 were promoted in New York during the week of the 81st United Nations General Assembly. Campaigns outlining Türkiye’s environmental and climate vision were presented to the public in Times Square, one of the city’s landmark locations.
Mobile LED trucks operated under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency featured messages centered on Türkiye’s COP31 agenda. The same messages were also displayed on large LED screens in Times Square.
Antalya highlighted in the messages
The promotional visuals used integrated designs highlighting Türkiye’s historical and natural attractions, as well as its soft power. The visuals carried the messages, “COP31 Türkiye: The world’s future in Türkiye” and “The place where the world will come together for the climate: Türkiye.”

The campaign also stated that more than 190 countries would come together in Antalya from November 9 to 20 for a shared world.
Minister Kurum attended the event
Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum attended the event held in Times Square to raise the profile of Türkiye’s hosting of COP31 and communicate the climate action agenda to the international public.

In the evening, Kurum attended a program featuring COP31-themed marbling works by marbling artist Garip Ay.
