SAHA Istanbul has launched an FPV Academy "Instructor Training" program as the first step of its plan to set up Drone Training and Production Centers in all 81 provinces of Türkiye. Run with the T3 Foundation, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the program aims to train new instructors in FPV drone technology in seven cities across Türkiye's seven regions.
Training will take place in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Samsun, Erzurum and Gaziantep. Applications close on Nov. 1, 2026.
From theory to flight practice
According to SAHA Istanbul, participants will go through a comprehensive course held at the National Technology Workshops, covering theory, simulation, assembly and hands-on flights.
The program announcement says the training will run in November and December 2026 for four to six weeks on Saturdays and Sundays, with both online and in-person sessions. Participants will be offered certification and the opportunity to become instructors.

SAHA EXPO revenue goes to the centers
Haluk Bayraktar, chairman of SAHA Istanbul, shared the cluster's post and said: "We are donating all of the revenue from SAHA EXPO to the Drone Training and Production Centers to be set up in our 81 provinces. We are taking the first step in coordination with SAHA Istanbul, the T3 Foundation, our Ministry of Industry and Technology, TÜBİTAK and our partners. We are beginning to train the instructors who will be the architects of the future in our seven regions. May it be beneficial!"
In April, Bayraktar announced that revenue from the SAHA 2026 fair would fund drone training and production centers in all 81 provinces and in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, with the largest center planned for Istanbul. The fair, organized by SAHA Istanbul, which describes itself as Europe's largest industrial cluster, was held in Istanbul on May 5-9, 2026.
