In Istanbul, the women's organization called Women Strong Together formed a human chain from Karaköy to Eminönü to draw attention to women who died under suspicious circumstances. Initially, a march was planned from Beyoğlu Tünel Square to Eminönü, but when the police did not allow it, the route was changed and the march took place from Karaköy to Eminönü. During the action, a banner reading "Those who should prevent violence are killing women and covering it up" was carried, and slogans such as "Not isolated but male violence" and "End male state violence" were chanted.
The women emphasized that they will fight for the clarification of suspicious female deaths and for the perpetrators to be held accountable. The press statement highlighted the negligence of public officials in preventing violence and the cover-up of femicides. References were made to the files of suspicious female deaths such as Gülistan Doku, İpek Er, and others, and demands for justice were voiced. The women pointed to systematic problems such as the destruction of evidence, protection of perpetrators, and the isolation of those seeking the truth. The action ended with the slogan "We will not lose one more person."
