Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy signed the law approving the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey on Friday, July 31.
The legislative text was published on the website of the Ukrainian Parliament. Thus, the bill on the approval of the agreement has officially become law.
With the signed law, the agreement between the two countries will enhance bilateral cooperation and expand market opportunities for Ukrainian and Turkish producers. The agreement also provides for the mutual elimination of customs duties on a range of products.
The Turkish Grand National Assembly had approved the agreement in early August 2024. Ukraine's parliament, in turn, gave its approval on July 14, 2026.
The agreement will enter into force after both countries complete their domestic ratification procedures and exchange the ratification instruments.
