Open education programs to continue
Mustafa Onur, Türkiye’s education attaché in Aleppo, said open education programs at the middle and high school levels would continue for students returning to Syria.
Onur said they would continue offering open education programs at the middle and high school levels in Syria to help students returning from Türkiye continue their education.
Onur said they had always supported the students’ educational journeys and noted that access to open education was particularly important for students returning from Türkiye to Syria.
Returns to Syria
Thousands of Syrians returned to their country from Türkiye and other countries following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s government. The Assad family’s rule in Syria ended when Damascus came under the control of opposition groups on December 8, 2024.
