2 Dead in Car Crash Into Tanker on Malkara-Çanakkale Highway
Two people died in a car that rear-ended an LNG-loaded tanker near Gelibolu on the Malkara-Çanakkale Highway. Two others were seriously injured and taken to the hospital.
On the Malkara-Çanakkale Highway near Gelibolu, a car collided from behind with an LNG-loaded tanker. E. A. and Ö. K., who were in the car, lost their lives in the accident.
Following the report, health and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon inspection, the teams confirmed that two people had died at the site.
Two others who were seriously injured in the accident were transported by ambulance to Gelibolu Şehit Koray Onay State Hospital. After initial treatment there, the injured were transferred to Mehmet Akif Ersoy Çanakkale State Hospital.
The bodies were taken to the morgue of Gelibolu Şehit Koray Onay State Hospital. The driver and license plate of the car have not yet been identified.
