Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announced operations against FETO and Daesh in four separate investigations centered in İzmir, Eskişehir and Ağrı. According to his statement on NSosyal, detention orders were issued for 35 suspects, 33 of whom were caught. One suspect was found to be abroad, and efforts to catch another are continuing.
Money transfers via a US company
In the Eskişehir-based investigation, prosecutors found that money had been transferred through a FETO-linked company in the United States in exchange for food products shipped from Türkiye. Officials believe the transfers could be used to finance the group’s efforts to rebuild itself. Nine of the 10 suspects sought in the operation were detained.

Two investigations in İzmir
In one İzmir-based probe, police carried out operations in four provinces against 21 suspects believed to be active in FETO’s current structure, detaining all of them. In the other, operations in İzmir and Aydın targeted three suspects identified as FETO members through ByLock messages, Bank Asya and phone records; two were detained and one was found to be abroad.
Daesh financing probe in Ağrı
In an investigation by the Ağrı Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office into the financing of Daesh under Türkiye’s law on preventing the financing of terrorism, one suspect was detained.
