66-Year-Old Man Who Brought a Pen Gun to a Courthouse in Istanbul Arrested
A pen gun, a scalpel, and pepper spray were found in the bag of Nahit Y., who arrived at the Bakırköy Courthouse Annex Building.
An alarm was triggered when the bag of 66-year-old Nahit Y. passed through an X-ray device at the entrance of the Bakırköy Courthouse Annex Building in Istanbul's Bahçelievler district.
A search of the bag revealed a pen-shaped gun, a scalpel, four scalpel blades, and pepper spray.
Nahit Y., who was taken into custody, was arrested and sent to prison by the court to which he was referred on charges of violating Law No. 6136.
His friend, who was with him at the time of the incident, was released after giving a statement.
