80 suspects captured and 59 arrested in drug operations across 18 provinces
The Interior Ministry announced that 355 kilograms of drugs and 52,616 drug pills were seized in operations across 18 provinces. While 1,053,000 cannabis and skunk plants were destroyed, 59 of the 80 suspects were arrested.

Coordinated by the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Department and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the operations were carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands with the participation of 485 narcotics and public order teams, 2,910 personnel, and the Anti-Narcotic Crimes Department's Analysis and Tracking Teams. It was determined that the captured suspects were conducting organized drug trafficking, selling drugs via social media and
messaging applications, and providing resources for drug production by illegally cultivating cannabis and skunk. We continue our fight against street dealers, drug manufacturers, and illegal drug cultivation activities with determination. We congratulate our heroic Gendarmerie, our Department, our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, and all those who contributed.
