AfD’s support was measured at 29 percent in INSA’s latest opinion poll for Germany’s federal election.
The Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) ranked second with 20 percent. The gap between AfD and CDU/CSU thus reached 9 percentage points.
Support for other parties
The Greens received 14 percent, the Social Democratic Party (SPD) 13 percent and Die Linke 10 percent in the poll.
The Free Democratic Party (FDP) stood at 4 percent, while the Alliance for Social Justice and Economic Understanding (BSW) was measured at 3 percent.
Based on these results, the FDP and BSW would fail to clear the 5-percent electoral threshold and would not enter the Bundestag.
