An AJet flight from Ankara to Şanlıurfa was evacuated after a note was found claiming there were explosives on board, Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak said. Flight A JET 4180 departed Ankara at 19:00 and landed at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport at 20:05 with 136 passengers and seven crew members, all of whom were safely evacuated. Security units began searching the aircraft for explosives.

Bomb disposal teams found nothing suspicious on board, and the aircraft was moved to the parking area after the search. The note, found in the plane’s lavatory, reportedly said there was 1 kilogram of C4 in the rear cargo hold. Governor Şıldak said the search was complete, there was no security problem at the airport and air traffic had resumed, adding that a judicial investigation was ongoing.
