The Antalya Governor's Office announced new measures due to the 31st Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31), which will be held in the city from November 9 to 20. Under the governor's directive, all public and private schools in the districts of Aksu, Döşemealtı, Konyaaltı, Kepez, Manavgat, Muratpaşa and Serik will provide remote education on November 11-12.
School buses will not operate and transportation-based education services will not be provided in these seven districts for two days. School administrators will remain on duty to monitor the education process, answer parents' questions and ensure the security of school buildings. Education will continue as usual in Antalya's other districts.
Under the directive, women public employees working in these districts who have children attending preschool or primary school will be considered on administrative leave on November 11-12. Heads of institutions, unit managers and personnel in critical positions will be excluded from the measure.

Personnel assigned to the COP31 organization, as well as those working in security, traffic, health, emergency response, firefighting, transportation, infrastructure, energy, water, sanitation and municipal services, will continue their duties. Sufficient personnel will also be assigned to population, land registry, tax and social security offices. Around 100,000 visitors are expected to be hosted each day during the summit.
