Ambassador Caymazoğlu and wife attend October 29 ceremony at Turkish School in Qatar

The 103rd anniversary of the Republic was celebrated at the Turkish School in Qatar in Doha. Türkiye’s Ambassador to Doha Yakup Caymazoğlu and his wife, Meral Caymazoğlu, also attended the ceremony.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Doha Yakup Caymazoğlu and his wife, Meral Caymazoğlu, attended a ceremony held at the Turkish School in Qatar for October 29 Republic Day. The Embassy of Türkiye announced the participation in the ceremony marking the 103rd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic through statements in Turkish and Arabic.

In photographs released by the embassy, ceremony participants posed for a group photo in front of the school building, whose facade was adorned with the Turkish flag. Red and white colors featured prominently in many of the participants’ clothing.

The program, held in the school’s hall, included a speech from the podium. An image of the Turkish flag and Atatürk was projected onto the screen beside the stage. Uniformed military personnel and students were among those watching the program.

School established on Erdoğan’s instructions

The Turkish school in Doha was built on the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and its official opening took place in February 2017 during Erdoğan’s visit to Qatar. The school, affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, provides education based on the Turkish curriculum.
