Koç Group Also Targeted in Istanbul and Antalya
The recent attack occurred following a series of incidents targeting the Koç Group. A day earlier, an armed attack was carried out in the morning at the Otokoç General Directorate located in Maltepe, Istanbul, with no casualties or injuries reported.

Increased Attention Following Investigation into Rahmi Koç
Rahmi Koç, Honorary Chairman of Koç Holding’s Board of Directors, faced backlash recently for remarks he made about Kurdish women during an opening ceremony. The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against Koç, who later apologized for his comments.
The timing of the attack on the Diyarbakır bank branch coinciding with the incidents in Istanbul and Antalya has drawn attention. Police teams continue their investigation in the area and efforts to capture the suspects are ongoing.
