The ASELSAN Children’s Festival has brought together children in Kahramanmaraş as part of the Türkiye Culture Route Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The festival will host science-, technology- and entertainment-themed activities through September 20.
Prepared in line with ASELSAN’s vision for technology and innovation, the festival area gives children the opportunity to discover science and technology through hands-on experiences. Interactive experience areas, technology exhibitions and various activities aim to foster children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for creating.
Tekno Macera Truck meets children
Activities organized as part of ASELSAN’s corporate social responsibility project Tekno Macera aim to help children grow into individuals who do not merely use technology, but design and produce the technologies of the future.
As part of the program, the Tekno Macera Truck is taking children in Kahramanmaraş on an entertaining journey of discovery through the world of science and technology.
Inventions introduced at the Museum of Inventors
The Museum of Inventors Exhibition Area at the festival features important inventions that changed the course of human history, along with the inventors behind them. As children examine technological developments from the past to the present, they also see how major inventions have inspired ASELSAN’s approach to innovation.
Augmented reality technology is used in the interactive digital book experience area, “Tekno Adventurers: A Journey in Nature.” The area offers children a different learning experience.
Children take part directly in activities
ASEL, one of the characters from Tekno Macera, is also accompanying children throughout the festival with 2D animation, original voice acting and dynamic storytelling.
The experience areas allow children to participate directly in the activities rather than taking part only as spectators. In addition to interactive experiences, the festival also features a Science Show and various on-site activities.
The activities aim to increase children’s curiosity about next-generation technologies in Kahramanmaraş and strengthen their interest in science.
The festival’s next stops
The ASELSAN Children’s Festival will continue in different cities after Kahramanmaraş as part of the Türkiye Culture Route Festival. The festival will be held in Diyarbakır from October 10 to 18, in İzmir from October 24 to November 1, and in Adana from November 7 to 15.
