An investigation led by the Ankara Western Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office is examining allegations of irregularities in certain tenders at Etimesgut Municipality, the preparation of forged documents and the provision of benefits through zoning and construction-permit procedures.
In the investigation conducted by the Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, detention warrants were issued for 25 suspects, including deputy mayors G.B. and F.G.
As part of the investigation, Court of Accounts reports, suspect statements, complainants’ testimonies, applications submitted to CİMER, and records from the Financial Crimes Investigation Board and HTS records were examined.

Following the examinations, 25 suspects, including five municipal employees, were detained in simultaneous operations carried out across five provinces centered in Ankara. The suspects face allegations of forming or managing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime, membership in such an organization, embezzlement, bribery, extortion by public officials, rigging tenders and interfering with the performance of an act.
Teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit continue searches and seizures and are working to refer the suspects to the Ankara Western Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
