A court jails 20 suspects in the Alihan Kuriş investigation and places five under judicial control
The procedures for 25 suspects detained in an operation conducted on September 20 by teams from the Financial Crimes Unit of the Ankara Police Department have been completed. The duty court ordered 20 of the suspects to be jailed and placed five suspects under judicial control.
According to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was conducted on September 20 as part of efforts by teams from the Financial Crimes Unit of the Ankara Police Department.
The police procedures for the 25 suspects detained in the operation have been completed. The suspects, who underwent medical checks, were referred to the courthouse.
Twenty-two of the suspects were brought before the duty criminal judgeship of peace with a request for detention, while three were referred with a request for judicial control measures.
The court ordered 20 of the 22 suspects referred with a request for detention to be jailed. It also ordered judicial control measures for five suspects.
