Authorities detain 39 suspects in illegal betting operation centered in Çankırı
An illegal betting operation was conducted across 19 provinces, centered in Çankırı, as part of an investigation coordinated by the Çankırı Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, and 39 suspects were detained. An examination by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) found transaction volumes totaling 2 billion 410 million 127 thousand 884 liras in the accounts of 47 people, while arrest warrants seeking the suspects’ detention were issued for eight suspects.
