Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir defended increasing airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and Israel killing 30-40 Palestinians every night.
Speaking on the podcast "October 8," hosted by Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir said the attacks should not be limited to people posing an immediate threat. He called for Israel to carry out extensive airstrikes across the entire Gaza Strip.
"Some people do not deserve to live"
Ben-Gvir argued that Palestinians not involved in the fighting should not be exempt from Israeli attacks. He said some people "do not deserve to live" and "should not even be considered human."
Ben-Gvir also described as a "terrorist" a woman who was said to have given food to Braslavski while he was being held captive in Gaza, and said she should be shot and killed.
Israeli soldier Braslavski was captured by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and released on October 13, 2025, as part of a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas.
Call for settlements in Gaza
Ben-Gvir reiterated his call for Israelis to be resettled in Gaza. Saying he considered all of Gaza to belong to Israel, Ben-Gvir stated that the settlements should not be limited to the former Gush Katif settlement bloc, which Israel evacuated in 2005.
The Israeli minister called for settlements to spread across the entire Gaza Strip and for Palestinians in the area to voluntarily leave their ancestral homes. Ben-Gvir encouraged as much migration as possible.
Palestinian detainees and human rights organizations
Ben-Gvir said he was pleased that Palestinians were being held under harsh conditions in Israeli prisons. Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations say that approximately 9,500 Palestinians, including women and children, are being held in Israeli prisons.
Ben-Gvir also called for banning Israeli rights organizations such as Peace Now and Standing Together, which advocate coexistence between Palestinians and Israelis. He accused these organizations of "supporting terrorism."
