Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı said the team had exceeded expectations at the start of the season and had no goal other than winning the title. Adalı said patience and time were needed for the largely revamped squad to become a team.
Adalı said the restructuring process was nearing completion and that the promise he had made to the Beşiktaş community was beginning to take shape. Saying he believed Beşiktaş would have a better structure in the future, Adalı expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance at the start of the season.
Most of the transfer plan implemented
Adalı said they had achieved 90% of their plans during the summer transfer window and had signed 90-95% of the players they wanted. Saying nearly 30 players had been sent away in roughly 1.5 years, Adalı noted that the new players needed time to adapt to one another and to coach Vincenzo Italiano’s style of play.
Adalı said he believed the team would achieve better results after the international break. Saying coach Italiano also had the goal of winning the title, Adalı announced that they needed to increase the squad’s depth to compete on three fronts and that their transfer work was continuing.
Adalı also said they wanted to sign a player during the midseason transfer window but did not disclose the player’s name.
European ambitions and the Hapoel Beer-Sheva match
Adalı said Beşiktaş would not give up easily in the UEFA Europa League and wanted to go as far as possible in Europe. However, he said winning the Süper Lig was above all other goals for him.

Adalı said the match against Hapoel Beer-Sheva, which they will play in Batumi, Georgia, would be held with spectators. Saying the club had been in contact with Georgia’s Ministry of Sports, the federation and UEFA on the matter, Adalı said ticket revenue was important for Beşiktaş.
$500 million threshold for broadcasting rights tender
Adalı also outlined his expectations for the broadcasting rights tender, saying they would not approve a figure below $500 million. Saying Turkish football had improved compared with the previous tender and that clubs had made significant transfers, Adalı noted that broadcasting revenues were also critical for clubs outside the major cities.
Financial structure and real estate projects
Adalı said there was a major difference between Beşiktaş’s financial structure 1.5 years ago and its current situation, adding that it was not possible to eliminate the debts entirely in a short period. He said they were working to maintain the club’s financial discipline and aimed to reduce the deficit to zero over time.
Adalı said Beşiktaş paid €50 million in interest in 2025 and that this year’s interest payments would amount to €5 million. Saying footballers’ and staff members’ salaries had not been delayed during the past 6-8 months, Adalı said they wanted to create new sources of revenue beyond sports income.
Adalı said they were working on new land and real estate investments in addition to the Dikilitaş project, adding that the foundations of the projects had been postponed because of the election process. He said facility work for amateur branches in Sancaktepe had been completed and that a new project to bring indoor sports together in Akatlar had been prepared.

Adalı said the value of the current squad had exceeded €250 million. Arguing that the club was capable of covering its debts with its existing assets, Adalı said they had no compulsory plan to sell players.
Stadium capacity to be increased
Adalı said they would increase the capacity of Tüpraş Stadium by 3,500 to 4,000 seats through rearrangements in the sections behind the goals, adding that the work was planned to be completed by the end of November. He said the project would increase both the stadium’s capacity and the club’s revenues.
Assessment of Necip Uysal as a coach
Adalı said Necip Uysal, who retired from football this season, had the talent to become a good coach. Saying Uysal would attend a training program organized by UEFA, Adalı noted that the club would support him throughout the process.
Restructuring also continues in the basketball team
Adalı said the basketball team had also been largely renewed and needed time for the new players to develop a team identity by playing together. Saying they had supported coach Dusan with squad planning, Adalı expressed his belief that they would see the basketball team they were aiming for in the period ahead.
