Bilal Uludağ, known for prioritizing collective wisdom, solidarity, and cooperation in local governance, was warmly welcomed by union members upon his re-election as president.
At the opening of the meeting held at the Adana Museum Congress Hall, Adana Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Güngör Geçer emphasized the important role of the Çukurova Municipalities Union in regional solidarity and cooperation, stating that strengthening unity and togetherness among local governments will significantly contribute to the region's development.
Geçer expressed his hope that cooperation will continue to grow in line with Çukurova's common goals.

Following the meeting and elections held in unity and solidarity, Bilal Uludağ, President of the Çukurova Municipalities Union and Mayor of Sarıçam, thanked those who placed their trust in him and said, "Our Çukurova Municipalities Union is a strong solidarity platform shaping the shared future of our cities.
This renewed mandate is more than a position for me; it represents a greater responsibility to serve our region and people. As always, we will continue to prioritize collective wisdom, strengthen solidarity among our municipalities, and enhance the institutional capacity of local governments.
Because we are not competitors but complementary, strengthening local governments moving toward the same goal. In the new term, we will take stronger steps in many areas, including disaster-resilient cities, digital transformation, sustainable environmental policies, international collaborations, and projects supporting regional development.
We will persistently work to make Çukurova a model of cooperation in local governments. I thank all our members for their trust and wish the new term to be beneficial for our Union, municipalities, and Çukurova."
During the meeting, the Executive Committee members for the 2026-2027 term were also appointed, and the union members discussed the upcoming activities and regional cooperation goals of the Union.
As a result of the election, the following were elected as Executive Committee members of the Çukurova Municipalities Union: Yüreğir Mayor Cafer Boyraz, Antakya Mayor İbrahim Naci Yapar, Erdemli Mayor Mustafa Kara, Kozan Mayor Mustafa Atlı, Payas Mayor Bekir Altan, Bahçe Mayor Zeynel Mete Kadıoğlu, Tufanbeyli Mayor Ahmet Aktürk, Aladağ Mayor Kemal Özdemir, and Toprakkale Mayor Bekirhan Uyutmaz.
