Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index finished the day down 0.92 points at 11,151.03. Total trading volume stood at 90.7 billion lira.
The banking index fell 0.60%, while the holding companies index declined 1.04%. Among sector indices, metal products and machinery gained the most, rising 3.85%, while insurance recorded the largest loss, declining 3.84%.

Global markets traded positively amid diplomatic efforts to end the conflicts in the Middle East and falling oil prices. Investors focused on the U.S. Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate decision due tomorrow and the earnings reports of major technology companies.
Analysts said 11,300 and 11,400 points were resistance levels for the BIST 100 index, while 11,000 and 10,900 points were support levels. Tomorrow, the foreign trade balance and Services Producer Price Index will be followed domestically, while abroad, attention will turn to the Fed's interest rate decision and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's press conference.
