The Operating Room Experience Area established by the Can Sağlığı Vakfı is giving children and young people the opportunity to explore health professions at the TEKNOFEST Southeastern Anatolia events in Şanlıurfa.
At the festival held at GAP Airport, children examine equipment used in operating rooms. They learn how surgeries are performed and about the internal organs of the human body through simulation models.

Volunteer students studying at medical and nursing faculties also accompany the children during the activities. Participants begin the experience by putting on gowns, masks and caps, then learn about medical instruments in the simulation area.
Ayşenur Baysoy, a member of the Can Sağlığı Vakfı board of directors, said they aim to introduce children to hospitals and health professions at an early age. Baysoy said children who visit the area have an unforgettable experience and get to meet healthcare workers and students.

Cihan Şevval Tuz, a medical student at Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University, said children listen to her with interest and excitement. Tuz said she had strongly wanted to become a doctor as a child and that she is now happy to contribute to helping some children achieve their dreams.
The festival, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the T3 Vakfı and an engineering and trade company operating in the defense technologies sector, will welcome visitors through October 4.
