Children's, women's and men's teams take field for Republic Cup in Hamburg
The Consulate General of Türkiye in Hamburg congratulated all the teams that took part in the Republic Cup football tournament organized by the Galatasaray Hamburg Association and thanked everyone who contributed to the event.
The Republic Cup football tournament organized by the Galatasaray Hamburg Association in Hamburg, Germany, brought together children's, women's and men's teams. The Consulate General of Türkiye in Hamburg congratulated all the teams that took part in the tournament and thanked everyone who contributed to organizing the event.
Under flags and an Atatürk poster
Photos released by the Consulate General show a large Atatürk poster hanging on the wall of the indoor sports hall alongside the flags of Galatasaray, Germany and Türkiye. The images also show the teams lined up side by side in the center of the hall, while presenters speak into microphones.
The teams taking part in the tournament posed for a commemorative photo in front of the goal. The Soğukpınar Association of Germany team, wearing green-and-white uniforms with Turkish flags on their chests, and a team in red uniforms were among those featured prominently in the images.
Medals and the cup
Referees and event officials posed beside the cup wearing medals around their necks. Players who received their medals also gathered in the hall for a group photo with their banners.
Türkiye's diplomatic missions abroad and Turkish associations have organized various events in recent days to mark the 103rd anniversary of the Republic. The Republic of Türkiye was proclaimed on 29 October 1923.
