The Consulate General of Türkiye in Münster celebrated the 103rd anniversary of the Republic’s establishment with a reception at Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland in the German city of Münster. In a statement issued in Turkish and German, the consulate said it was celebrating the anniversary “with great pride and enthusiasm.”
Guests fill the hall
Photographs released by the consulate show hundreds of guests filling the convention center’s main hall. Among the guests standing in the front row were uniformed officers and a cleric in robes.

A display bearing the words “Türkisches Generalkonsulat Münster” and “Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Münster Başkonsolosluğu” was set up at the entrance. Guests posed for commemorative photographs in front of the display, which stood between Turkish and German flags.
Erdoğan’s video message
At the reception, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s video message prepared for the 103rd anniversary of the Republic was shown on a large screen in the hall. The message was shown with English subtitles, and guests also recorded the speech on their mobile phones.

A grand piano, Turkish and German flags, and a portrait of Atatürk were placed on the stage; a display at the lectern highlighted the 103rd anniversary of the Republic’s establishment. The Republic of Türkiye was proclaimed on October 29, 1923. Türkiye’s diplomatic missions in Germany have been holding receptions and celebrations in recent days to mark the anniversary.
