Construction cost index rose 1.15% month-on-month and 28.33% year-on-year in July
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced that the construction cost index rose 1.15% month-on-month and 28.33% year-on-year in July. During the same period, the materials index increased 27.13% year-on-year, while the labor index rose 30.51%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute released construction cost index data for July. The index rose 1.15% from the previous month and 28.33% compared with the same month last year.
Materials and labor costs
On a monthly basis, the materials index rose 1.28%, while the labor index increased 0.92%. On an annual basis, the materials index rose 27.13% and the labor index increased 30.51%.
Building construction costs
The building construction cost index rose 1.08% in July from the previous month and 28.37% compared with the same month last year.
In building construction, the monthly materials index rose 1.21%, while the labor index increased 0.86%. On an annual basis, the materials index rose 27.34% and the labor index increased 30.19%.
Non-building structures
The construction cost index for non-building structures rose 1.38% month-on-month and 28.19% year-on-year in July.
For these structures, the monthly materials index rose 1.49%, while the labor index increased 1.15%. On an annual basis, the materials index rose 26.5% and the labor index increased 31.65%.
