The Turkiye Times Editorial DeskUpdated:
Turkish businessman Turhan Mildon, 29, vice president of Çorum FK and CEO of family firm Miller Holding, married Alina Habba, 42, former lawyer to President Donald Trump, at the Waldorf Astoria in New York on Saturday.
Guests included FBI Director Kash Patel, Attorney General Todd Blanche and Mike Tyson; Trump did not attend. The ballroom, music and flowers reportedly cost at least $1 million.
Photos and videos shared by guests show that attendees entered through a tunnel of deep-red roses, while the ceremony took place in a ballroom filled with white and pale-pink blossoms beneath crystal chandeliers. The Correspondent reported that about 900,000 flowers were used and that Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama was among the guests. The couple’s first dance was to Charles Aznavour’s “Hier Encore,” sung by a performer flown in from France, and rapper Nelly performed at the afterparty. Habba wore three different dresses during the celebrations, which were attended by about 300 guests.
