Halil Ibrahim Bayram, originally from Adana and living in Virginia, is fighting for his life after suffering serious injuries in a traffic accident. Bayram, who lives with his wife and child in Alexandria, Virginia, was seriously injured in a crash on Memorial Highway on the night of August 2. He was taken to the hospital at around 1 a.m. and is currently intubated in intensive care in critical condition.
Bayram has undergone two surgeries so far and faces additional operations. His life remains at risk. The person involved in the crash who struck Bayram died. Before moving to Virginia, Bayram had lived in New York for approximately three years.
Because of the severity of his condition, doctors asked Bayram’s family in Adana to come. His family traveled from Türkiye and is now at the hospital by his side. Adding to the family’s hardship, Bayram’s wife is pregnant. She is expecting their second child, with approximately one month remaining until the birth, and is currently unable to work.
While the family waits for positive news from the hospital, they are also struggling to cover their rent and basic living expenses. A fundraising campaign has therefore been launched to support Halil Ibrahim Bayram and his family. The donations will be used to cover the family’s rent and daily living expenses and to support Halil’s wife and child during this difficult period.
