Deputy Foreign Minister Gümrükçü meets UN and SICA officials in New York
Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador Levent Gümrükçü met with Natalia Gherman, Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate, and Lina Ajoy, Secretary-General of the Central American Integration System (SICA), in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.
Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador Levent Gümrükçü continued his diplomatic contacts in New York, where he was attending the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
Gümrükçü met with Natalia Gherman, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate. The meeting was held as part of Türkiye's diplomatic contacts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Deputy Foreign Minister Gümrükçü also met with Ambassador Lina Ajoy, Secretary-General of the Central American Integration System (SICA).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared photographs of the two meetings on its social media accounts but did not provide additional information about the discussions.
Türkiye maintains intensive diplomatic activity in New York
Türkiye's diplomatic delegation is participating in numerous meetings and discussions in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.
Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci attended the 7th Caspian Business Forum organized by the Caspian Policy Center, while Deputy Foreign Minister H. Ali Özel represented Türkiye at the 7th Ministerial Meeting of the Friends of Victims of Terrorism Group.
