Deputy Foreign Minister H. Ali Özel visited the construction site of Pristina Central Mosque during his visit to Kosovo.
The Foreign Ministry said Özel received information from the Presidency of the Islamic Union of Kosovo about the project, which aims to meet the worship needs of the country’s entire Muslim community.

The mosque, which will have a capacity of approximately 14,000 people, is planned to become the Balkans’ largest mosque and Islamic complex once completed. Özel and his accompanying delegation toured the sections of the construction that are currently under way.
During his engagements in Kosovo, Özel also visited the Kosovo Maarif Schools campus in Prizren and met with representatives of the Turkish community.
