A new investigation has been added to the ongoing probe against Tanju Özcan, who was suspended from his position as Mayor of Bolu. Özcan was detained following a complaint filed by the complainant Ö. Ç. to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation is reportedly being conducted on charges of sexual assault through abuse of public office influence. A detention order was also issued for Özcan's driver, S. Ç., in the same case file.
Özcan was previously taken into custody during the February 28 operation. Subsequently, on March 2, he was detained on charges of extortion by coercion.
It was also reported that on April 4, a detention order was issued against him for qualified fraud. This adds a new case file to the ongoing judicial process involving Özcan.
