Diesel prices were cut by 5.47 lira per litre effective from midnight on Saturday, 7 November. Following the cut, diesel prices fell below 100 lira again in many provinces, particularly Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
Under the new prices, a litre of diesel costs 95.09 lira in Istanbul, 96.16 lira in Ankara and 96.47 lira in Izmir. Prices may vary by province, district and distribution company.

The cut came as the decline in international oil prices was reflected at the pump. Expectations that the war in Iran could end grew stronger following the U.S. midterm elections, pushing oil prices lower. Gasoline prices were also cut by 6.08 lira per litre on 6 November.
