Workers at Doruk Mining had gone on a hunger strike in April due to not receiving their rights for months. However, it is stated that wage payments and other rights promised to the workers have not been fulfilled. For this reason, the miners announced that they will start a strong protest again in Ankara on June 1. The workers stated that they will continue their struggle until all their rights, such as unpaid compensations, unpaid leave wages, and bonuses, are fully paid. Union officials and workers emphasized that the commitments made in previous negotiations have not been fulfilled. It is also reported that the Ministry of Labor and Social Security is closely monitoring the process, and protests will continue if the employer does not make the payments. The miners will gather again in Ankara on June 1 to ensure their rights are fully secured.
