Emine Erdoğan, the wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said she hopes the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly will be beneficial for all of humanity.
“I hope that the 81st UN General Assembly, with the decisions to be taken and the new bonds to be formed, will bring benefits to all of humanity. I wish that this intense diplomatic traffic will contribute to the consensus and calm that the world needs,” she said in a message on her NSosyal account.
Emine Erdoğan accompanied President Erdoğan in New York during the General Assembly week. On September 21, she spoke at the opening of Climate Week NYC, calling for the Zero Waste approach to be embraced as one of the powerful tools of climate action.
Erdoğan, who chairs the UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board of Eminent Persons on Zero Waste, stressed that humanity must rebuild its relationship with nature on the basis of measure and justice.
President Erdoğan left New York after concluding his contacts at the General Assembly.
