Demand for mineral water produced at the municipality-owned factory 14 kilometers from Erzincan city center has increased across Türkiye with the arrival of hot weather.
The mineral water, which is said to aid digestion and help replenish lost minerals and salts in a short time, is produced in plain, lemon, mandarin, pomegranate and apple varieties.
18% of production is exported
The factory produces approximately 12 million bottles annually. Eighteen percent of the products are exported to the Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
Efforts are also continuing to expand the export market to Iran, Syria and Iraq. Kenan Çeribaşı, manager of the Erzincan Bögert Mineral Water Factory, announced that they would begin shipping products to these countries soon.
Hourly production capacity to increase
Çeribaşı said they had experienced an intensive production period during the summer season and that the factory was producing 10,000 bottles per hour. He said monthly production was approaching 1 million bottles and added that production was continuing uninterrupted to meet demand in domestic and foreign markets.
Çeribaşı said they had submitted new projects to development agencies to expand the factory’s production network and noted that they aim to produce more than 25,000 bottles per hour and operate around the clock next season.
Çeribaşı said they aim to deliver mineral water to more households by increasing production.
