Fenerbahce made its second move of the summer transfer window by adding Senegal's young forward Amara Diouf to its squad. The club officially announced that a 5-year contract has been signed with the 18-year-old player.
In a statement from the club, it was emphasized that Diouf is regarded as one of the most important young talents in African football. The signing ceremony took place at the Club Center with the participation of board members Baris Karagoz and Savas Adalet, and sporting director Volkan Akan.
Diouf, who grew up in the 'Generation Foot' academy in Senegal, plays for the national team. The young player, who became the tournament's top scorer with 5 goals at the 2023 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, made a significant contribution to his country's championship.
With this transfer, Fenerbahce has made its second reinforcement ahead of the new season. The yellow-navy side had previously tied Kosovar striker Vedat Muriqi from Spanish side Real Mallorca with a 3-year contract.
