Diplomatic meetings in New York

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held separate meetings in New York with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Placencia Gonzalez, Salvadoran Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill and Guinea-Bissau Foreign Minister Fatoumata Jau while attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Fidan met Venezuelan Foreign Minister Gonzalez at the Turkish House in New York. Following his meeting with Salvadoran Foreign Minister Hill, the two countries signed an agreement to prevent double taxation.

Fidan also met with Guinea-Bissau Foreign Minister Jau and Bangladesh State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir.

Fidan attends meeting on multilateralism

Fidan also attended an event titled “Rethinking multilateralism in a changing world: The role of regional responsibility,” organized at the Turkish House by the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As part of the event, Fidan met with experts working in international relations, representatives of think tanks and members of the media.
