A fight broke out among students for reasons not yet known at Sezai Karakoç Anatolian High School in Istanbul’s Esenyurt district on Wednesday, prompting police and medical teams to rush to the scene. Footage showed ambulances and police vehicles in the schoolyard and large crowds of students outside. The school was evacuated. Esenyurt District Governor Fatih Çobanoğlu said a student stabbed two classmates inside a classroom; one is in mild condition, while officials “cannot say” the other is out of danger.
The incident came days after a 15-year-old carried out a knife attack at a middle school in Istanbul’s Başakşehir district, killing one student.
