A fire broke out on the rooftop of a shoe factory on Kazlıçeşme Avenue in the Leather Organized Industrial Zone in Istanbul’s Tuzla district. The cause of the fire at the factory, which has approximately 5,000 square meters of enclosed space, has not yet been determined.
Flames quickly engulfed the rooftop, part of which was used as a warehouse and contained discarded materials. The flames occasionally reached 2 meters in height.

Following the report, numerous firefighting units, along with medical and police teams, were dispatched to the area. Firefighters tackled the blaze from eight different points and extinguished it after approximately four hours of work.
Police took security measures in the surrounding area, while pedestrian and vehicle traffic at the entrances and exits of the avenue was managed under control.
