Fuat Oktay, chair of the Turkish parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, reacted to a map shown by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a presentation that placed Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye on the opposing side of Israel.
Speaking to reporters before receiving a delegation led by Zulpkhar Sarkhad, head of the Mongolia-Türkiye parliamentary friendship group, Oktay said: "There is no point in engaging with Netanyahu here. The man you call Netanyahu is a killer." He added that whatever map Netanyahu published and whatever it contained did not bind Türkiye.

Mecca agreement yet to reach committee
Asked about the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement signed by Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Oktay said the agreement had arrived in parliament but had not yet reached the Foreign Affairs Committee. Once it does, he said, the committee will review the text in detail with representatives of all political parties.
A bill on the approval of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement was submitted to the parliament speaker's office on Tuesday.
