Galatasaray has reshuffled its board assignments following resignations from the board. The resignations of Second President Metin Öztürk and Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Vice Chairman Abdullah Kavukcu were accepted at a board meeting.
Reserve members Ozan Bingöl and Bora Bahçetepe joined the board in place of Öztürk and Kavukcu. Under the new allocation of duties, Mehmet Cibara, who had served as vice president in charge of the volleyball department, was appointed second president, while Eray Yazgan was appointed vice president.

Özbek to remain in office
Despite claims that the club could hold an early election following the resignations, President Dursun Özbek decided to remain in office.
Öztürk and Kavukcu announced their resignations one after the other on Nov. 1. Following the board meeting on Oct. 27, Kavukcu said he had a verbal argument with Öztürk and that the dispute had been exaggerated on social media. He announced that he was stepping down to preserve peace at the club.
