German Chancellor Merz Gave Trump a Fake Germany National Team Jersey
The Germany national team jersey gifted by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to US President Donald Trump at the G7 Summit in France has turned out to be counterfeit.
It has been revealed that the Germany national team jersey gifted by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to US President Donald Trump at the G7 Summit in France was counterfeit.
Experts examining the jersey identified an error in the number 47 on the back of the gift, which has an original value of 150 euros. The jersey was prepared with this number because Trump is the 47th president of the United States.
In a statement to the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, the Chancellery office stated that the gift was original and that the jersey number was printed elsewhere due to time constraints.
The incident has sparked debates in the public and media.
