Head-on collision in Sivas: 3 dead
In a head-on collision between a light commercial vehicle and a car in Sivas, 3 people lost their lives and 2 were injured. Investigation continues.
In a traffic accident that occurred near Çeltek village in Sivas, two vehicles collided head-on. After the collision, the scene turned into a battlefield and many teams were dispatched to the site.
The accident happened around 20:30 with the collision of the light commercial vehicle with license plate 58 AT 879 driven by Musa Bal and the Volkswagen car with license plate 58 AHB 600 driven by Özkan Şahinkaya.
According to initial determinations, the drivers Musa Bal and Özkan Şahinkaya, along with Özkan Şahinkaya’s wife Ayşe Şahinkaya, died at the scene.
M. Ş. and B. Ş., who were in the car, were slightly injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in Sivas by ambulances.
After the accident, rescue teams were directed to the area. The teams worked in the area where the injured were trapped in the vehicles.
Deputy Governor İlhami Doğan and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Adem Taşkın also came to the scene and received information from the teams.
While security and traffic measures were taken in the area, the investigation into the accident continues.
